Undergraduate programs

Bacharelado em Música. Three to four years. Studies include performance (classical, popular, opera), composition, choral and orchestral conducting, musicology, theory, music technology. Licenciatura em Música. For teaching in schools.

A Catholic institution founded in 1929, operating at two sites in the São Paulo area. There are departments of music, fashion design, fine arts, arts education as well as management, accounting, nursing, physiotherapy, medicine, fashion design, nutrition and international relations. There is a strong emphasis on aural training and on teaching students to approach music with intelligent thought. Fundamental to the philosophy of the institution is that the arts are able to transform life. There is an opera program and a Centre of Research in Electro-acoustic Music. Facilities include a 400-seat auditorium.
