Details:

Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Four years. Music studies include performance (voice, acting, dance), music theory. A minor in music is offered.


Institution Notes:

An independent, non-denominational university, originally founded in 1933 as a junior college of Bucknell University. It gained its current name and status in 1990. The music division is housed in the Dorothy Dickson Darte Center with access to several fine performance spaces. The Wilkes Community Conservatory and Community School of the Arts, a division of the Department of Performing Arts, provides music instruction (performance, ensemble, theory, improvisation, Kodály and Orff classes, opera and theatre workshops) to young people and interested adults. The campus is the location for the annual Encore Music Camp of Pennsylvania.
