Details:
Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Majors in performance (classical, jazz), composition/theory, musicology/world music. There are courses in Native American, Asian music, aural skills.
Institution Notes:
A private liberal arts college founded in 1833 by the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers). An agreement exists between Haverford, Swarthmore, and Bryn Mawr Colleges and the University of Pennsylvania whereby students may take individual courses at one of the other campuses for credit at the home institution. The music department has access to some fine performing spaces.
