Institution Notes:

The University was founded in 1867. The music department is housed in the Marwick-Boyd Fine Arts Center. Formerly known as Clarion University of Pennsylvania, in 2021 it merged with California University of Pennsylvania and Edinboro University of Pennsylvania to form the multi-campus Pennsylvania Western University - PennWest Clarion, PennWest California and PennWest Edinboro. Music programs are offered at the Clarion and California campuses. The musical theatre program offers courses in acting, dance, singing and music skills. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
