Institution Notes:
This institution was founded in 1890 as a teacher training college. It is the oldest institution of higher education in Oklahoma and gained its current name and status in 1990. The music school is an All-Steinway School. It runs both an opera program and a music theatre program, and organises a community music school offering music tuition to children and interested members of the local community. The University’s Academy of Contemporary Music is located in Bricktown in down-town Oklahoma City. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
