Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Emphases in performance (classical, jazz, bluegrass), music history, world music, composition, electronic composition, music education (with choral and instrumental conducting). Studies include theory, music technology. A minor in musical theatre.
Institution Notes:
An independently administered and financed co-educational university of liberal arts and sciences of Baptist heritage, founded in 1831. The music department is housed at the Michael D Eisner Center for the Performing Arts. It organises a Suzuki Program offering instruction in flute, piano, violin, cello and viola for students aged from 3 to adult. Alexander Technique is available.
