Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Studies include performance, music history, theory, aural skills. Emphases in music industry and in arts management and entrepreneurship are offered. Bachelor of Music. Four years. Concentrations in performance (classical, jazz, opera, music theatre), composition, theory, music history and literature, music theatre, music industry, music therapy. Bachelor of Music Education. Four years. Includes choral and instrumental conducting.


Institution Notes:

Founded in 1845 and formerly known as Baldwin-Wallace College, this institution gained its current name and status in 2012. It is a private liberal arts college affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is situated in close proximity to the city of Cleveland. The Conservatory, an All-Steinway School, has access to several fine performance spaces. Facilities include nine organs. The college is the home of the Riemenschneider Bach Institute and the oldest collegiate Bach Festival in the USA. The Institute is the guardian of some Bach-related manuscripts and first editions. There is a Cleveland Music Therapy Consortium allowing for co-operative courses for music therapy students from Baldwin-Wallace Conservatory, Cleveland State University and the College of Wooster. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
