Institution Notes:

A state-supported university that can trace its history back to 1883. The Faculty of Fine Arts offers programs in music, visual arts and theatre. There is a flourishing opera program. The music department houses the Lawrence Welk collection of scores, manuscripts and arrangements of popular music from the first half of the twentieth century. The School of Music organises a Music Academy offering music tuition to interested members of the local community. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
