Institution Notes:
A private independent liberal arts college for women founded in 1891 and affiliated with the Southern Baptist church. The College is co-educational at graduate level. The music department houses over 65 pianos, several organs and a set of handbells, and has access to some fine performing spaces. In addition to the professional programs Meredith College, through its Community School of Music, provides music programs for children and interested members of the local community, including Suzuki programs in violin, violoncello and guitar.
