Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Concentrations in performance, composition, music production, sound recording, music education (with choral and instrumental conducting).
Institution Notes:
An historically black university founded in 1891 as a teachers’ college and gained its current name and status in 1969. It forms part of the 16-campus university system that makes up the University of North Carolina. The music department is housed in the Mickey L Burnim Fine Arts Center. There is a state-of-the-art recording studio and a music theory laboratory. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
