Institution Notes:
This private university was founded in 1824. The Department of the Arts was founded in 1972 and forms part of the School of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences. There are state-of-the-art electronic studios and an Experimental Media and Arts Center. The Department of Arts focuses on electronic media in artistic creation and performance. It is an All-Steinway School. Other campuses are in Hartford and Groton, Connecticut.
