Institution Notes:
A private college founded in 1892 as a music conservatory. Since that time the college has developed into a comprehensive institution comprising Schools of Business, Communications, Health Sciences and Human Performance, Humanities and Sciences as well as the School of Music which is housed in the James J Whalen Centre for Music. The library holds the complete works, manuscripts, letters, scores and awards of Karel Husa as well as an archive of scores, letters and memorabilia of wind conductor Frank Battisti.
