Details:
Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Studies in performance (classical, jazz piano), music history, theory, aural skills. A minor in music administration and entrepreneurship.
Institution Notes:
Hobart College was founded in 1822 with liberal arts courses for men. In 1908, on an adjoining block William Smith College opened its doors for women. By 1942 many classes were co-educational, with students attending from both colleges. The legal name of the institution is 'The Colleges of the Seneca'. The music department is housed in the Gearan Center for the Performing Arts.
