Institution Notes:

A federal public university founded in 1962. The Institute of Arts offers programs in theatre, visual arts, design and music. Apart from its professional program the music department has a Music for Children program for children from very young to ten years of age, and a special course for children with Down syndrome. It also organises a Community Symphonic Chorus.
