Institution Notes:

The private Long Island University operates on two campuses. The Brooklyn campus, established in 1926, and the C W Post Campus established in 1954. The School of Visual and Performing Arts at the C W Post campus offers programs in visual art, media arts, music, and theatre, film, dance and arts management. Facilities include the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts with a 2,200-seat concert theatre and the 490-seat Hillwood Recital Hall. There is a state-of-the-art music technology laboratory. At the Brooklyn campus the Richard L Conolly College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers programs in art, dance, journalism, media arts and music.
