A second campus in Princeton which incorporated the Westminster Choir College, the school of music of Rider University, is to be sold, and in anticipation of this the Choir was moved in 2020 to the University’s Lawrenceville campus to the dismay of its students.
This private co-educational university can trace its history back to 1865. It gained its current name and status in 1994. The School of Fine and Performing Arts is a division of the Westminster College of the Arts. It offers programs in dance, music, theatre, music theatre and arts administration. A second campus in Princeton which incorporated the Westminster Choir College (the school of music of Rider University), is to be sold, and in anticipation of this the Choir was moved in 2020 to the University’s Lawrenceville campus, to the dismay of its students. Westminster Conservatory of Music, established in 1970, is the community music school of Westminster College of the Arts of Rider University.
