Institution Notes:
A state-supported university founded in 1871 as a teachers’ college. It gained its current name and status in 2003. The Department of Music, Theatre and Dance is located in the Silver Center for the Arts, and has access to several fine performing spaces. In addition to college programs the department offers instruction in selected performance areas of music and theatre to school students in grades 1 to 12.
