A state-supported university founded in 1905 as a teacher’s college. It gained its current name and status in 1991. The Department of Music and Performing Arts comprises departments of music, dance and theatre. The Fine Arts Center houses some fine performing spaces as well as a state-of-the-art music technology classroom.
