Master of Arts. In performance, musicology, choral and instrumental conducting, composition, theory, music education, Kodály method (summer programs), electronic music, music technology, audio production.


Institution Notes:

A state-supported university founded in 1871 as a teachers’ college. Earlier known as Central Missouri State University, the institution gained its current name and status in 2007. Facilities at the music department include a state-of-the-art recording studio and a music technology computer laboratory. The Department of Music is an All-Steinway School and has access to some fine performing spaces. The Utt Music Building houses a collection of 325 antique musical instruments. The music department organises a Community Music Program offering music tuition to children and interested members of the community. There is also a Kodály Summer summer program for teachers, with access to levels I, II and III. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
