The School of Music organises a Community Music Program offering music instruction to children and interested members of the local community. The Missouri String Project has a two-fold function - to prepare university music students for a career in teaching music and to introduce year 3 and 4 students to music by giving them the opportunity to study violin, viola or ‘cello. The University’s string major students serve as teachers under supervision. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
