Details:
Cycle de Perfectionnement. Students receive tuition in piano, violin, viola, cello, singing or chamber music. Studies also include analysis, physical and mental health for musicians. There is no minimum age for admission of exceptional students, but most students will have completed their formal music education at a conservatory. Access is upon invitation by the Chapel.

This private institution, founded in 1937, is supported by the Queen Elisabeth Music Foundation with links to a number of prestigious music institutions in the country. Only students not wishing to do a degree program, but with exceptional abilities as performers (piano, violin, singing) are eligible to apply. Entry is by audition. The Institute may pay full board and lodging and provide an allowance for students. The institution organises competitions, lectures and concerts. The Music Chapel and La Monnaie have set up an opera studio in Brussels to enable up to ten of the most promising singers to prepare for a career in opera. There is a preparatory cycle (Cycle préparatoire) of studies in piano, violin and cello for students of exceptional talent between the ages of 8 and 16 years. A Certificate of Attendance is issued.
