Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Concentrations in performance (classical, opera), composition, music education (with choral and instrumental conducting), liturgical music. Studies include music history, theory, aural skills, pedagogy.
Institution Notes:
These are two Catholic Benedictine liberal arts colleges - College of St Benedict for women (founded in 1961, but with records dating back to 1913), and St John’s University for men. They share one academic program and students attend classes together on both campuses. The department of music has access to some fine performing spaces. There is an active opera workshop.
