Institution Notes:

A tax-supported municipal university founded in 1865 as Lincoln College. It gained its current name and status in 1952. The music department is housed in the Garvey Fine Arts Center, along with the departments of theatre and art. There are some fine performance spaces. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
