Institution Notes:
This private university was founded in 1886 and is affiliated with the United Methodist Church. The Salina Youth Education Program provides low-cost music lessons to students in and around the Salina area, using appropriate students from the music degree program as assistants to the Youth Symphony and Youth Choir. A Students Teaching Students music lesson program also uses university music students students to give private lessons to young local musicians while being mentored and advised by faculty members. There is an active music theatre program.
