Institution Notes:

The University was founded in 1858 as Bluemont Central College and gained its current name and status in 1959. It is the oldest public university in Kansas, with campuses in Manhattan, Salina and Olathe. The music department has access to several fine performing spaces and there is an active opera program. Facilities include a state-of-the-art music technology laboratory. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
