Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Studies in performance (classical, jazz), music history, ethnomusicology, jazz traditions, composition, theory, aural skills, basic conducting.
Institution Notes:
A private, co-educational liberal arts college of Congregational heritage founded in 1846. The music department is located in a newly renovated and expanded Fine Arts facility which includes the acoustically excellent 340-seat Sebring-Lewis Hall and well-equipped electronic music and multimedia technology laboratories. The Bucksbaum Center for the Arts houses a fine collection of Western concert instruments, early instruments and world music instruments, including a Javanese gamelan.
