Institution Notes:

Founded in 1859, the university is now owned and operated by the Lutheran University Association. The music department is located in the University Center for the Arts, offering programs in art, music and theatre, and also houses the Bach Institute and the Brauer Museum of Art. There are several fine performance spaces. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
