Bachelor of Arts. Four years. Music studies in performance (classical, jazz), music history, theory, aural skills. A minor in arts management is offered. Bachelor of Music. Four years. Concentrations in performance (classical, jazz), composition, string performance and pedagogy. Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. Four years. Bachelor of Music Education. Four years. Studies in choral and instrumental conducting, music technology.


Institution Notes:

A private university related to the United Methodist Church, founded in 1850. The College of Fine Arts consists of Schools of Music, Art and Theatre Arts. The School of Music organises summer music camps for ‘cello and chamber music as well as a summer music composition institute. There is a Preparatory Piano Department which offers piano instruction to students from pre-school to year 12, and also a Preparatory String Program. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
