Institution Notes:
Founded in 1867, this is the oldest private music conservatorium in Vienna. Its full name is 'Franz Schubert Konservatorium für Musik und darstellende Kunst und Musikschule'. It offers courses in classical and jazz performance, drama, music theatre and puppet play. The Ethnic Music Department offers Bachelor and Master degree programs in collaboration with the Plovdiv Academy of Music and Fine Arts in Bulgaria. There is a program of music for very young children. Private lessons are available for interested persons.
