Institution Notes:

A state-supported college founded in 1958. It gained its current name and status in 1965. The College of the Arts offers programs in art, music and theatre. The Schwob School of Music, an All-Steinway School, has access to a number of fine performing spaces. The Preparatory Division offers music tuition to young children and interested members of the local community. It has a Kindermusik program for newborn children up to age 5, a Suzuki violin program and a Young Artist Program for violinists, violists, cellists and pianists between the ages of 12 and 18.
