A private university founded in 1864. Established in 1924, the Lamont School of Music is affiliated with the Robert and Judi Newman Center for the Performing Arts and is also affiliated with the Joseph and Loretta Law Artist Center of Opera Colorado. The School of Music is an All-Steinway School. It is organised in four divisions: the Conservatory Program (all classical performance and composition areas), the Jazz and Commercial Music Program (all jazz and commercial music areas), the University Program (the BA and MA degrees and the combined BA/MBA degree), and the Community Program (an outreach program offering music programs to the local community).
