Details:

Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Studies include performance, musicology, ethnomusicology, theory, aural skills. Bachelor of Music. Four years. Emphases in performance, collaborative piano, composition, instrumental conducting, music education (with choral and instrumental conducting). An Alexander Technique program is offered.


Institution Notes:

An independent university founded in 1861 and historically affiliated with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Through the William D Hall and Marybelle and Sebastian P Musco Conservatory of Music the College of Performing Arts offers programs in music, dance, theatre and production management. There are many fine performance spaces, including those in the newly-completed Oliphant Hall which also houses a Music Technology Center and the Administration Center. The Hall is also home to 62 new acoustic Kawai pianos. Member of the National Association of Schools of Music.
