Institution Notes:
Founded initially in 1960 as South Bay State College, this institution gained its current name and status in 1977. The Division of Performing, Visual and Digital Arts offers programs in art and design, dance, digital media arts, music and theatre arts & dance. The Department of Music, an All-Steinway School, is housed in the La Corte Hall Building, with the Marvin Laser Recital Hall and a well-equipped complex of music technology and recording studios. The music department administers the Conservatory of Music and Dance which offers lessons and classes to the community. Member of the California State University system.
