Details:

Bachelor of Arts in Music. Four years. Emphases in general music (performance [classical, jazz], music history, theory), music education (with choral and instrumental conducting). Studies include music technology, music history, pedagogy, music education (with choral and instrumental conducting).

Institution Notes:

The University was founded in in its present form in 1971. It is a member of the California State University system. The music department hosts an annual Kodály Institute each summer as well as the Bakersfield International Music Festival for chamber music.
