Institution Notes:
The Conservatorio can trace its history back to 1849. It offers programs in music, literature and arts. The MART Lab is a collaboration between the Conservatorio, the National Research Council and other similar bodies, aiming to recover and restore audio magnetic media and sound recordings. It is also involved in new music technologies, production and post-production techniques. There is a preparatory program for students wishing to enter the professional program. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
