The Conservatorio was founded in 1982 as a branch of the Milan Conservatorio and became an independent institution in 1996. Feldenkreis is offered to students. There is a preparatory program for students wishing to enter the professional program. The Conservatorio also offers music tuition to young children and interested members of the local community. An active member of the Association Européenne des Conservatoires, Académies de Musique et Musikhochschulen.
