Bachelor of Education. In co-operation with the Levinsky Teachers’ College music education department. Includes studies in choral and instrumental conducting and Dalcroze eurthythmics.

Details:

Diploma in jazz, rock and popular music performance. Three years. Concentrations in performance (jazz, R&B, bebop, rock, and pop), improvisation, composition, arranging and conducting, harmony and counterpoint, songwriting, contemporary and electronic music production.


Institution Notes:

Founded in 1985, the Rimon School is a founding member of the Berklee International Network for Contemporary Music Education and of the International Association of Schools of Jazz. It is the largest independent institution teaching jazz and popular music styles in Israel. There are close links with the Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. Students who complete the first two years at the Rimon School may enrol in year 3 of the Berklee four-year Bachelor of Music program. Facilities include a state-of-the-art recording studio and MIDI room. The Masa-Rimon program for overseas students provides young Jewish adults with programs in such musical styles as jazz, rock, funk, pop, Latin, rhythm and blues, soul, gospel and reggae during visits to Israel.
