Institution Notes:

Trinity College is the music department of the University of Dublin. It can trace its history back to 1592, and its Chair of Music was first established in 1764. The current Department of Music became part of the University’s School of Drama, Film and Music in 2006. Performance tuition is not available within the Department, but students in the undergraduate program may choose to present a recital for credit in the degree. Since 2012 the Department of Music has hosted a Composition Centre whose purpose is to promote contemporary composition and stimulate the on-going debate on the future of 'New Music'. There is an archive of historical recordings.
